Ring size
What is a ring size?
A ring size is a measurement used to describe the size of the inner circle of rings. The perfect ring size is important because your ring should fit your finger comfortably. Most of the time people think that they remember their ring size, but often we forget the actual size. Various countries use different systems to determine the perfect fit. At Diamond Point, we use the European standard, which represents the number of millimetres of the inner circle of the ring. For example; ring size 50 means that the inner circle of the ring is 50 mm.
How to determine your ring size?
Method 1: Determine your ring size by using an existing ring
The easiest way is to grab one of your own rings, that fits perfectly on the same sized finger, and bring it with you to a Diamond Point shop in your area. We will measure the ring size on a ring stick. It is also possible to measure the inner circle of the ring by yourself and find your size using the table below. However, measuring the inner circle of the ring is a precise business and your measurement might be different from your actual ring size. When you decide to use this method, please note that a large ring feels more tight and a small ring more spacious than you might expect. So, keep in mind that you might need a different size than you might have thought beforehand. In the end, if your ring does not fit properly, we will customize your ring to your size for free (provided that this is technically possible).
Diameter in mm | Ring size (wide in mm) |
---|---|
16 | 50 |
16,5 | 52 |
17 | 53 |
17,5 | 55 |
18 | 56 |
18,5 | 58 |
19 | 59 |
19,5 | 61 |
20 | 62 |
20,5 | 64 |
21 | 66 |
Do you have a ring size that lies between two sizes, we recommend you to choose the bigger ring size. This way, we could more easily adjust the ring afterwards.
Method 2: Determine your ring size by using Diamond Point’s ring sizer
Another way to determine your ring size is by using the Diamond Point 'ringsizer'. Order the Diamond Point ringsizer here. When you have received the ringsizer, you remove the card with ringsizer from the envelop. Then, you watch the viedo with instructions below.
-
Slide the ring sizer on, up to your knuckle, and pull the ring sizer tight.
-
The ring sizer is too tight when you are not able to move it anymore. The ring sizer is too loose when you can slide it effortlessly. The ring sizer fits perfectly when you can slide it with some effort.
-
Find the right size in the table below.

Now you know which ring size you have and you can order your ring in the correct size. Sneak a peak at our ring collection!
Pay attention! If you have large knuckles, we recommend you to order your ring one size larger. Do you prefer to wear a ring that is a bit less tight, we recommend you to order the ring one size larger. When you are planning to buy a big ring, we recommend you to order the ring one size larger than you intended to do. The reason for this is that a big ring feels narrower than a small ring.
de maat uiteindelijk toch niet blijken te kloppen, maken we de ring kosteloos op de juiste maat (mits dit technisch mogelijk is).
If your ring does not fit properly, we will customize your ring to your size for free (provided that this is technically possible).
